Garden hot tub – how much does it cost and which one to choose
The garden hot tub price depends primarily on the model series, size and equipment level. The most affordable option is the small SIMPLE tub, while the most expensive are the large square SOMA, FJORD, OAK, NOVA and AURA tubs 220-220 cm with composite cladding. The choice of a specific model depends mainly on the number of seats, heating system, presence of hydromassage and the type of exterior cladding.
In the Wooden Pools range, a garden hot tub is available as round and square spa tubs, as well as the SIMPLE 160 cm model, and the individual series allow you to select the shape, heating method and scope of equipment. Below you will find a comparison of heating systems, cladding materials and accessories that have a real impact on the overall purchase cost.
How much does a hot tub cost?
The price of Wooden Pools garden hot tubs and spa tubs depends on the series, size and equipment level; the most affordable model is the small SIMPLE 160 cm tub, and the most expensive are the large square SOMA, FJORD, OAK, NOVA and AURA tubs 220-220 cm with composite cladding. The current price in your local currency is always shown in the configurator on the product page.
The lowest-priced option is the small garden hot tub SIMPLE 160 cm with a polypropylene shell, 10 jets and 3 kW electric heating. The round 200 cm spa tubs LUNA and TERA with Balboa 3 kW electric heating sit in the mid-range, while the NORD and SAVA models with an internal wood fired stove are placed higher. The square spa tubs start with the COMA 200-200 cm model, and the larger 220-220 cm tubs with Thermo wood cladding or composite cladding occupy the top end of the range.
The standard equipment of the spa tubs includes, among others, an acrylic shell, aluminium frame, PUR foam insulation, Balboa control system, hydromassage jets, cartridge filter, ozone generator, LED lighting, thermal cover and steps. The SIMPLE model uses a polypropylene shell, thick Thermo wood cladding, 10 jets, a 1 HP pump, 3 kW heater and comes as standard with a wooden cover, steps, LED lighting and a cartridge filter.
If, in addition to a hot tub, you are also considering a heated garden pool, you can find the current models in the wooden pools and Premium SPA category, where a similar calculation method applies – base price plus equipment configuration via the configurator.

The above table shows the main “garden hot tub price” ranges in terms of model hierarchy for the current Wooden Pools range, while the final cost additionally depends on the options selected in the configurator, such as a heat pump, audio system or cover lifter.
Hot tub with wood fired stove or electric heater?
A garden hot tub with a wood fired stove, such as NORD or SAVA, is positioned higher in the price list than the comparable LUNA and TERA models with Balboa 3 kW electric heating only. In the case of the small SIMPLE tub, the basic heating is provided by a 3 kW electric heater, and a wood fired stove can be added as an extra paid option.

In the LUNA and TERA models with a diameter of 200 cm, water heating is provided by a Balboa 3 kW heater, controlled from the spa system. This solution allows you to conveniently manage the temperature without having to light a fire every time. The NORD and SAVA models have the same 200 cm diameter, capacity of 1 200 l and 6 seats, but in addition to the Balboa 3 kW heating they are equipped with a wood fired stove located inside the tub.
The NORD garden hot tub with stove differs from LUNA specifically by the presence of the internal wood fired stove. The price difference between NORD and LUNA reflects mainly the different way of preparing a bath – traditional fire, the need to tend the stove and a more classic “hot tub” character of use. In both cases, an electrical connection is still required for the Balboa system, pump, jets, lighting and filtration.
In the smaller SIMPLE model with a diameter of 160 cm, heating is provided solely by a 3 kW heater, while in the configurator you can add a wood fired stove as an extra option. This choice makes sense if you want an economical base model with the possibility of occasionally using wood as an alternative heat source.
Wood or composite?
Among the square spa tubs, models with Thermo wood cladding are more affordable than their composite counterparts.
Thermo wood is a material treated at high temperature without chemicals, which is important in the humid and sunny environment of a spa area. Thermo wood cladding is used, among others, in the round TERA, LUNA, NORD and SAVA models and in the square COMA 200-200 cm, SOMA 220-220 cm and NOVA 220-220 cm tubs.
Composite cladding is used in the NOIR 200-200 cm, FJORD 220-220 cm, OAK 220-220 cm and AURA 220-220 cm models. It is a modern-looking solution, resistant to weather conditions and not requiring the typical maintenance associated with wood. With a comparable interior configuration, composite models occupy a slightly higher price range than Thermo wood versions – for example COMA (Thermo wood) compared with NOIR (composite), or SOMA and NOVA (Thermo wood) compared with FJORD, OAK and AURA (composite).
In the case of the small SIMPLE tub, 44 mm Thermo wood forms the outer cladding of the tub. This model stands out with a more traditional character, while the spa tubs finished in composite and Thermo wood have an acrylic shell and aluminium frame, which better fits modern wellness areas on a terrace or by a year-round house. Example configurations of square tubs can be found in the square spa tubs section.
Round or square?
Round garden hot tubs 200 cm (LUNA, TERA, NORD, SAVA) offer 6 seats and a capacity of 1 200 l, while square tubs 200-200 cm hold 4 people with a capacity of 950 l, and the larger 220-220 cm tubs hold 6 people and 1 100 l. The round models have 20 jets, while the square 200-200 cm tubs have 46 jets and the 220-220 cm tubs have 57 jets.

If your priority is a classic hot tub for several people in a regular 200 cm circle, a good choice will be the TERA or LUNA garden hot tub with hydromassage (20 jets, 6 seats, 1 200 l) or their counterparts with a wood fired stove, NORD and SAVA. The round format makes it easier to integrate the structure into a garden or terrace and often requires less usable space around it than a large 220-220 cm square with a similar number of users.
The square 200-200 cm COMA and NOIR tubs provide 4 places (2 seats and 2 loungers) and 950 l of water, with 46 hydromassage jets. This is a solution for smaller groups, but with more emphasis on the arrangement of lounging positions. The 220-220 cm tubs (SOMA, FJORD, OAK, NOVA, AURA) offer 6 places – 5 seats and one lounger, a capacity of 1 100 l and 57 jets, which supports more extensive hydromassage for several users at once.
A round 200 cm tub takes up approx. 3.1 m², while a square 220-220 cm tub takes up 4.84 m², so on a smaller terrace it is easier to fit a round model. An overview of models with hydromassage can be found in the round spa tubs category and in the aforementioned section with square tubs.
Which extras increase the price?
The final answer to the question “how much does a hot tub cost” is also affected by optional extras – in the tub configurator these are available as additional paid options. For hot tubs and spa tubs, the most important are: the heat pump (extra option), cover lifter (extra option), audio systems (extra options), aluminium steps for the heat pump (extra option), SIMPLE thermal cover (extra option) and SIMPLE sand filter (extra option).
Additional heating and heat pump
- Heat pump for tubs and hot tubs – the “With heat pump” option, available for square tubs, round hot tubs and SIMPLE 160 cm, is an additional paid option. It is a solution for users who want to maintain a stable water temperature, especially with year-round use.
- Wood fired stove – the universal “Wood fired stove” option for square tubs, round hot tubs and SIMPLE is an extra paid option. For Standard and Thermo pools there is also an “Integrated wood fired stove” option, also available for an additional fee.
- Heat pumps for pools – for Standard and Thermo pools, an ON/OFF 6 kW heat pump or an inverter 9 kW heat pump is available as an extra paid option, which may be important if you are planning both a hot tub and a pool in one garden area.
Covers, steps, filtration
- SIMPLE thermal cover – the “With thermal cover” option for the SIMPLE 160 cm model is an extra paid option that translates into better temperature retention and water protection.
- Sand filter for SIMPLE – choosing a sand filter as an extra option allows you to upgrade from cartridge filtration to a more advanced cleaning system.
- Aluminium steps for the heat pump – intended for square tubs as an additional paid option, they make it easier to access the pump and operate the technical area.
- Cover lifter – available for square tubs, round hot tubs and SIMPLE 160 cm as an additional paid option, it simplifies daily removal and replacement of the cover.
Audio systems and comfort extras
- BBA3 (audio system with 4 speakers) – an additional paid option for square tubs and round hot tubs.
- Audio system with 2 speakers – also an extra paid option for square tubs and round hot tubs.
- Cladding colours – Anthracite, Walnut, Light oak and Rustic oak finishes (for SIMPLE also Clear) are available as an additional paid option.
To sum up, the answer to the question “which garden hot tub to choose” depends on your budget, the number of users, the desired type of hydromassage, the preferred heating system (wood fired stove or Balboa 3 kW electric heating) and your decision on additional equipment. For simple everyday use, the SIMPLE 160 cm model or a round LUNA/TERA will be sufficient, while for higher expectations, a convenient solution will be the 220-220 cm square spa tubs with advanced hydromassage.
